DECISION
CANCELING THE FEE ON TEXTILE AND GARMENT QUOTAS FOR EXPORT TO THE EU AND CANADIAN MARKETS
THE MINISTER OF FINANCE
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 77/2003/ND-CP of July 1, 2003, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Finance Ministry;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 57/2002/ND-CP of June 3, 2002, detailing the implementation of the Ordinance on Charges and Fees;
Pursuant to the December 3, 2004 Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and EU on market access and the December 3, 2004 Announcement of the Canadian Trade Ministry;
After receiving opinions of the Trade Ministry in Official Letter No. 6403 TM/XNK of December 16, 2004, proposing the cancellation of the fee for textile and garment quotas for export to the EU and Canadian markets;
At proposal of the Director of the Tax Policy Department,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To cancel the fee on textile and garment quotas for export to the EU and Canadian markets, prescribed in the Finance Minister’s Decision No. 16/2004/QD-BTC of February 12, 2004, promulgating the Table of fee rates on textile and garment quotas for export to the EU and US markets and Decision No. 118/2002/QD-BTC of September 25, 2002, promulgating the Table of fee rates on textile and garment quotas for export to the EU and Canadian markets.
Article 2.- This Decision takes effect as from January 1, 2005.
Article 3.- Textile and garment exporters liable to pay the fee on textile and garment quotas for export to the EU and Canadian markets under the Finance Minister’s Decision No. 118/2002/QD-BTC of September 25, 2002, and Decision No. 16/2004/QD-BTC of February 12, 2004, units which are assigned by the Finance Ministry to collect the fee, and the concerned agencies shall have to implement this Decision.
