DECISION
PROMULGATING “LIST OF MEASUREMENT MEANS SUBJECT TO EXPERTISE”
THE MINISTER OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Pursuant to the October 06, 1999 Ordinance on measurement;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 54/2003/ND-CP dated May 19, 2003, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of science and technology and the Government’s Decree No. 28/2004/ND-CP dated January 16, 2004, amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 54/2003/ND-CP;
At the proposal of General Director of Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality,
DECIDES:
Article 1. To promulgate together with this Decision “List of measurement means subject to expertise”.
Article 2. This Decision takes effect 15 days after publishing on Official Gazette. “List of measurement means subject to expertise” promulgated together with this Decision will replace the “List of measurement means subject to expertise” promulgated together with Decision No. 65/2002/QD-BKHCNMT dated August 19, 2002 of the Minister of science and technology and environment (as the Ministry of science and technology now).
Article 3. Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality, Sub-Departments of Standards, Metrology and Quality of provinces and central-affiliated cities, and relevant organizations and individuals shall implement this Decision. /.

The expertise cycle of each measurement means in the above table is defined in the respective expertise process promulgated by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Organizations and individuals producing or importing these measurement means must conduct the model approval before conducting initial expertise in accordance with current regulations.
2. The measurement means not prescribed in item 1 of this List, upon being used in purpose of judicial expertise, other duty activities of State, expertise must be conducted at requests of competent state management agencies, but it is not required to conduct the model approval.
